Senior Project Architect

WestEast is actively seeking to expand our professional design staff. We are looking for an experienced professional who is organized, graphically talented and strong in the construction document production process to work on Health Care, Higher Education or Government projects. 

The Senior Project Architect oversees the Construction Document process for all design projects and works directly with the Senior Architect to ensure technical and regulatory compliance for all projects. The Sr. Project Architect ensures the construction documents are well organized and meet office graphic standards. The Senior Project Architect will work directly with the Principal Architect and the Construction Administration Manager to evaluate building assembly details.

Employment Type

  • Full-Time (40 hrs. a week)


  • 10+ years of experience minimum
  • Experience managing teams on design projects
  • Strong CAD production capabilities

Education Requirements

  • Professional Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from an NAAB accredited University (M.Arch., B.Arch.)
  • Licensed Architect (preferred)
  • Experience may replace Licensure or Education


  • Great graphic skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the design and construction process, building systems and documentation
  • Ability to lead the team in the production of construction documents
  • Ability to positively instruct others in technical and graphic skills

Software Skills

  • AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Must demonstrate a self motivated ability to learn new software packages


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Management of one large design project, or multiple smaller projects/programs
  • Consultant management and coordination
  • Coordinate and contribute to Specifications production
  • Quality Control
  • Review documents for compliance with the office QA/QC program
