FORT HUACHUCA MEDICAL FACILITY PRE-PLANNING STUDY
The Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center was descoped several years back from an inpatient hospital to an outpatient clinic. The facility is nearing the end of its design life and is scheduled for replacement. However, the replacement facility continues to be pushed back, and the current schedule anticipates move-in five to seven years away. Meanwhile, several focus departments have been fragmented over time and are dealing with operational and facility deficiencies. This planning exercise addressed the needs of these focus departments by creating short-term implementable projects within the existing footprint, taking advantage of available vacant space.
