FORT JACKSON MEDICAL AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The Moncrief Army Community Hospital was recently downsized to an Army Health Clinic, which eliminated inpatient services. This descoping was accompanied by large-scale staffing reductions and left a swath of vacant spaces, including operating rooms and an inpatient cafeteria. WestEast analyzed the healthcare requirements of the remaining outpatient departments and validated the facility assessment of the hospital building and 16 outlying facilities to establish a future state of consolidated and efficiently functioning department in line with the provision of services. This end-state will be depicted in a facility master plan with recommended renovation projects and associated cost estimates.
