WEST TEXAS A&M CAMPUS PLANNING PROJECTS

The challenge of this master planning exercise was to incorporate the following into the resident living sector of the campus while planning for both shared and community level outdoor public spaces for residence halls: a connection to academic facilities, a dining complex, a student activity center and student services. In addition, a chiller plant capacity study for future growth revealed that a new chiller plant would be required. Through an interactive cost model, design and planning process, a new chiller plant, utility tunnel extension, and residence hall including multipurpose living space, campus resident life department office and 360 beds was all achieved within the original budget.
