Our Story

WestEast Design Group started on Christopher Kimm’s dining room table in 1996. Already an experienced architect with a national firm, Chris was inspired to build his own business and serve the local community. His first project was the St. Mary's Learning and Leadership Center for the City of San Antonio. The success of that project helped WestEast win a much larger project with the City - the 12,000 SF Colonel Victor Ferrari Community Education Center. Chris and his wife, Katherine, have since built their business into a thriving firm with talented architects, engineers, and designers.

We are more than a design firm. WestEast’s innovative culture and dedicated service has helped us to grow from a simple architecture firm into an integrated professional practice that includes engineering, interior design, project management, and construction services. Our focus remains on serving our clients through close collaboration. We continue to dedicate ourselves to devising creative and exciting solutions for each project.
