Open Positions

West East is looking for two (2) QA/QC individuals to oversee the quality control of the design production. Our preferred candidates will have prior experience in the AEC industry and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of projects

Qualifications
> Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills
> Strong organizational skills
> Experience with current construction methodology and detailing
> Knowledge of construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier interaction
> Understanding of architectural building systems
> Understand industry standards and procedures
> Familiar with the Construction Administration (CA) process
> Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines desired
> Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, Revit Bluebeam Studio recommended
> Highly self-motivated personality
> Willing to take mentoring within the Studio
> Communicates professionally both verbally and in writing
> 15+ years of experience in architectural and construction documents
> Experience with DoD and VA projects preferable

Responsibilities
> Review architectural projects from concept through construction documentation and site construction
> Review drawings and produce red lines
> Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates among Architecture docs. and other disciplines.
> Conduct design and constructability reviews and combined analysis of plans and specifications
> Research code and accessibility requirements
> Analysis and conformation of Scope of Work
> Assist Client’s Manager in the preparation of Fee Proposals and Design Schedules
> Maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team

‍Role Description Thisposition is not an IT position. This position supports VERTICAL CONSTRUCTION.You will perform electrical design for vertical construction projects. You willperform independent technical review of electrical design packages across multipleconcurrent military construction projects. That means evaluating plans,specifications, and calculations for compliance with NEC, UFC, and applicablestandards, and writing clear, documented observations and recommendations. Youwill provide commentary through review platforms such as ProjNet orDrChecks andvalidate that prior review comments have been properly resolved beforesubmittals advance.

Youwill also monitor deliverable status and provide schedule-related observations,support quality assurance efforts across the A-Eteam, and contribute tomentorship and knowledge-sharing sessions on topics such as power distributiondesign, generator systems, fire alarm systems under NFPA 72, grounding, andlighting. The technical depth you have built over a career is what makes thisrole useful. You will be expected to bring it.
You work independently. All work runs through WestEast’s designated point ofcontact. You are not receiving direction from Government personnel. You review,document, and communicate. That is the job.

Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time Contract
$85- $95/hr | Contract 1099 position

Qualifications
> Active PE license.
> Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited program in electrical engineering
> Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering design experience > Ability to work independently with minimal direction
> Strong written communication skills for documenting technical observations and recommendations
> Comfort working on federal installations
> Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Civil 3D ELUM (lighting design) — preferred, Easy Power (power systems analysis) — preferred and ProjNet or DrChecks review platforms

Experience
> Hands-on experience with:
· Electrical power distribution at 208V, 480V, and primary voltages
· Lightning protection design
· Electrical generator design
· Fire alarm system design (NFPA 72) COMM/DATA systems 5. · Electrical grounding design

Technical Knowledge
> UFC standards
> NFPA 70/NEC
> NFPA 101 NFPA
> NEC and applicable NFPA standards for design review

Security & Clearance
> Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC)
> Ability to complete a federal background investigation (T1 level)
> Completion of USACE Antiterrorism Level Awareness training within 30 days of start
