WestEast’s Karin Scott Wins AIA San Antonio Place Award | Small Scale for 2GXXS House Project

We’re proud to share that WestEast Design Group’s Karin Scott was honored with the Place Award in the small scale project category (any architectural work under 1,500 SF) at AIA San Antonio’s People + Place Awards. This award recognizes outstanding built architectural projects by AIA members that enhance public awareness of the value of design excellence.

Karin was recognized for her outstanding work on the 2GXXS House Project. Set amongst the expansive homes of Terrell Hills, 2GXXS House’s sculptural simplicity is both distinct from and integrated with its surroundings. Occupying just 568 square feet, this full-time residence was designed to embody a minimalist aesthetic while maximizing functionality, efficiency, and comfort—all while showcasing the site’s specimen oak tree.
